Worst experience I've had in the 35 years I've been in the car business. Brought the truck in for what appeared to be a lifter problem and was told the timing chain was stretched and the guides were worn. Believable.... Told me that they had two diff techs diagnose with a combined experience of almost 50 yrs. They replaced them(1500.00) but it didn't fix the problem. Fine, Brandon(service mgr) comped that ticket but couldn't provide the old parts they replaced. Hmmmm.. Went back in the service bay and talked to tech along with Brandon about what is causing the tapping. It was definitely a mechanical sound. I asked about possibility of a lifter not good causing not enough oil to be pumped up to the rocker and thus tapping would occur everytime it would come around on the cam. Took the head off to check and see if valves were okay ,and they were, but noticed scoring on the cylinder wall that you could feel with your fingernail. At that point, Brandon told us that it just needed a new eng. Asked if they had done a compression check on cylinder that was scored and was told no. Just need a new eng... If the cylinder was scored enough to cause a tapping, then it would either have lower compression on that cylinder than the rest and would have to be smoking or blow by out the valve cover. He did his best and negotiated the bill down to 2200.00. I got the truck back after three weeks still tapping loudly. Drove the truck three miles before it died at a stop light . The eng was fluctuating 500 to 800 rpm until you applied brake and then sometimes it would die. Took it right back. A week later after not being called, I finally got ahold of someone and was told throttle body was dirty and after cleaning it was ready to go. Picked it up today and it runs good(just the way it ran when I took it in for tapping) but still out 2200.00 to get my truck back. Might be unfair to call all the techs weak, but told them to fire whoever test drove truck after all the crap I'd been through. Emily, the other service mgr was real nice but she got in on the deal late. Again, worst experience I've had ever with a dealership that I was hesitant to go to in the first place, but wanted to get someone who had the correct diagnostic tools and experience to fix my baby...It's no wonder why people are skittish about Dealerships...Don't go there for anything!!!!

I was a multi site residential property manager making $68,000. I was having sever marital problems, which caused me to have a breakdown. The torture continues from my ex husband. Therefore, the Judge approved my disability because of my condition. She said I could never be able to work at this time. My doctors have not released me to go back to work. I went through a divorce and brutal custody battle and had to pay $5,000 to an attorney. Because of paying that money my house went into forclosure. I had to file bankruptcy to keep my home. My monthly income is $45,000. I hope to return to work in at least a year.

Never got the Internet price they advertised on Autotrader.com. "We don't have any control over what people put on the Internet.". Do not take your family. Go in alone. After two hours. Leave! My family and I were there eight hours. I have never spent more than two hours buying a car previously. Horrible experience! They just keep adding items. You tell them no. 60 minutes later they come back and still didn't remove what you declined!

Liars

My husband makes good money. Like most Americans , we had some credit issues because over a year ago he was laid off from another company. He contacted Grand Prairie ford. Liars. He developed a phone relationship with the internet guru/ Arlan. He assured us after doing a soft run of the credit, get us in the car we wanted for 500 down and 400 a month or less. So Saturday we went out there. We got the run around game for about 25 minutes. They would not tell us the price of any cars and took us into a cubicle like we were in trouble in a principals office. The salesperson finally came back. He said good news bad news. 1500 down and not sure the payment yet!!!! I asked for our licenses back and we left. What a bunch of scammers!! Don't believe the commercials or a word you hear. Stay away.

Avoid Grand Prairie Ford - Tony Terrazas

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Don't buy anything from Grand Prairie Ford!!! Worked with Anthony Brooks and Tony Terrazas.

Terry Terrazas is an absolute POS, unprofessional and needs to be fired on the spot on how he conducts himself during my visit. Do not deal with these idiotic crooks! The piece of *** approached me during the business transaction with an attitude and did not even crack a smile the entire time. He seemed inconvenienced that I was in the dealership ready to buy a truck.

Anyhow, I was seconds away from buying a vehicle using my own finance company, had my agent on the phone ready to cut a check. He was not interested in making a deal using my own finance company or even taking with my agent to work out a deal. Instead, they wanted me to use their own finance company at the dealership with ridiculous rates. He was not interested in selling a truck, had an attitude and stormed away from the deal after I mentioned I was looking at using my own finance company.

He was not willing to see what other options were available. At the same time this was going on, my agent was on the phone and heard all the conversation, my agent was surprised at what he heard. Not a good thing on Mr POS Tony Terrezas part when the agent cutting the check hears this - bad for business!!! It's no wonder this truck has sat on the lot for 216+ days.

The vehicle was a 2015 F150 Lariot supercab. If I am in the market for buying a vehicle, it should be up to the customer to choose what finance company to use at the best rate for the customer, not the dealership. If I can not use my own finance company, then I will take my business somewhere else plane and simple.

Overall, a horrible experience at Grand Prairie Ford on the afternoon of July 7, 2015. You will be better off avoiding these crooks, taking your business elsewhere and don't deal with Grand Prairie Ford, Anthony Brooks and especially Tony Terrazas for your future vehicle needs.

Drove 200 miles to see a truck that they assured me was there

After numerous emails between Alex Utroska, Shawn Leggett and myself about a truck they'd offered on the internet, we drove 200 miles to (probably) buy it. Alex called when we were 2 hours out and said it was still available. When we got there the young man that met us at the door said he had to get info about our trade in before we could see the truck. When he finally talked us into giving him our keys, he came back and said the truck was sold 5 minutes before. We were IRATE and asked to speak to Shawn. When he met us, he said he knew that the truck had been test driven the evening before but that the people were concerned about it being 2 wheel drive. We said the truck we were interested in wasn't 2 WD. He said that then we wouldn't have wanted it anyway and finally went to get out keys back. While he was gone another salesman came up and asked if we'd been helped. When we told him the story (loudly for all the other customers' benefit) he said are you talking about the 4 WD, Ford F 150, dark gray? When we said yes he told us he'd sold it the night before and that it WAS in fact 4 WD. Shawn lied to us twice and Alex wouldn't return my calls after we'd left. If this is the way they do business I'd like to get them into as much trouble as I can. Would like to personally talk to Keith Sheldon, the owner.

My husband and I had the same issue. We were originally talking with Ashley until she failed to return phone calls.

We then began dealing with Shawn Leggett. We were coming from Mississippi to purchase a truck. Shawn assured me on Monday that he would hold the truck until we could get there Wednesday. Tuesday morning, I called Shawn and told him we had just picked up the check from our bank (they were not happy that we had our own financing) and would be there first thing Wednesday morning.

About an hour later, I received an EMAIL (didn't even have the respect to call) from Shawn letting me know that the truck had been 'dealer traded' the day before.

Although Shawn told us the truck was gone, Desiree just told my dad they still had the truck!

FALSE ADVERTISING AND RIP OFF

Asked to see New f150 i saw on internet. They braught it up, i drove it , liked it, but! They wanted $2000.00 dollars more than internet price. He said it was due to tint and bedliner. I asked to see one at internet price without extras-He said they always (and I quote) always put tint and bedliner on but do not reflect it on the internet price. I said thats very misleading because thats why I came. THEN offered me $6000.00 dollars on my trade in on Friday (i signed an agreement to accept it)and when the internet salse rep talked me into comming back Saturday they offered $3000.00. I said you need to find the agreement i signed yesterday because your dealership offered twice that amount yesterday. He asked me if i Really thaught it was worth that. I told him what I thaught it was worth didnt matter. I would only accept what they offered yesterday. He said I really cant do better than that so I said We are done! Who DOes That?? Please stay away from this dealership. I promise you will be mislead. Went to Mac Haik Ford in Desoto and drove out my NEW f150 Crew Cab XLT 4hours later with $6000.00 for trade and 1.7% intrest!!

They told my husband the exact thing about tint and bedliner!!! Then they 'dealer traded' the truck after they assured me it would be there when we got there to pick it up.

Shawn Leggett emailed me a few hours before we were leaving Mississippi to go to Texas to get the truck and told me this.

Warranty fraud

I bought a car from Grand Prairie ford about one year ago, when we went into the finance office to finalize the transaction and sign all the paper work we were told that the transaction was being taped both video and audio for both their and our own protection. As we worked our way down through the contract I questioned the finance officer about the warranty I questioned that the $2,390.00 was for the gold warranty he said yes and I read the warranty and all of its detail and he said that that was the gold warranty but what I didn't know was that he didn't check the box that said gold warranty he checked the box that said silver warranty this makes a huge difference the silver warranty is *** and what he did is overwhelm us with all of the signing initialing and all the paperwork hoping that we didn't notice that he had changed the warranty from gold to silver on March 6, 2013 we took the car in for repairs that should have been covered by the gold warranty and only then did we realize that he had made a switch and now they say that the audio video recording is missing, this was fraud plain and simple they did not want us to see the video because it would validate our claim. I am taking this to the Texas Atty. Gen. and the department of motor vehicles dealer enforcement division. Do not do business with this company ever.

GrandPraire Ford

I was looking on the internet for a new car and found one at GrandPraire Ford, I called the dealership to make sure the car it was still instock. And was told that they still have it so we made the drive across town to find a new car so badly beat up from hail damage. I could not beleive that they would have a car like this on a new car lot. The add did not say one thing about hail damage neither did the worthless sale person. So if you have nothing better to do than waste your time and gas go visit this SORRY dealership and get a good laugh on what they have on the lot.

My experience was awfull. I was insulted when I went in for a cash buy and they would not work with me. I told them I had 20k to spend and they directed me to the used car side of the lot said they had nothing for me on the new. I said I was looking for a ford and they gave me the keys to a mazda. If I say I want a ford then find me a *** ford. I bought my car yesterday from Waxahacie ford man those are some nice down to earth people. Out the the door brand new with 149 miles for $21K WOW that is only 1k more for a new card. You guys SUCK!

The worst experienced I have ever encountered. I will never ever come there again.

The salesman was not knowledgeable if anything. I will not go into details with everything.

But trust me, You do not want to shop there. The worst ever.
